Dr. Marc Childress speaks at Global Human Resources Forum in South Korea
Baker University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Marc Childress recently spoke at the Global Human Resources Forum in Seoul, South Korea. The forum focused on human resource practices, development, and solutions on a global scale. Childress presented on the role of education in creating a dynamic society.
“The theme of the conference was Together, for a better future,” Childress said, “which provided an opportunity to share Baker University’s Strategic Plan 2022, specifically goal two: Our programs will be innovative, current, and relevant to prepare graduates who are responsive to global challenges and opportunities.”
Childress joined leaders in education, manufacturing, business, and government at the conference. Presenters at previous forums include Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft; Bill Clinton, former president of the United States; and Gordon Brown, former prime minister of the United Kingdom.
“I hope that the global connections that I made during the conference will result in more international collaboration opportunities for Baker faculty, staff, and students as well as more opportunities for international faculty and students to visit and study at Baker University,” Childress said.
